Cutter Marine Poised For Changes At The Helm

BURLINGTON, ON - March 8, 2019 - Marine services provider Cutter Maritime Inc announced today that Peter Stewart is retiring from his position as President and CEO. Steve joined Cutter Marine in 1999 and has been instrumental in the company’s growth. Vice Chairman Blair Cutter emphasizes, “Steve has played a key role in setting the strategic direction for the business that has empowered Cutter to become a significant player in the Great Lakes transportation industry. We wouldn’t be here today without him.” Blair Cutter is joined by the entire Board of Directors and shareholders of Cutter Marine to thank Steve for his years of hard work and dedicated service and wish him many happy years in his retirement.

Moving to the position of President, Cutter Marine is pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Bravener who will be officially assuming this role on March 18, 2019. Scott comes to Cutter after an impressive career of more than 30 years in the maritime industry. He was the founder of Lower Lakes Towing Ltd., which started in 1994 and grew under Scott’s leadership to own and operate, along with its U.S. affiliate Grand River Navigation Company, a fleet of 16 dry-bulk vessels. Scott was most recently Co-president and Chief Operating Officer of Rand Logistics Inc., the parent company of these two companies. In 2013, he was selected as Great Lakes “Maritime Man of the Year” and inducted into the Great Lakes Marine Hall of Fame.
